The Swiss replica watches manufacturer Zenith has joined forces with the British retailer The Watch Gallery to launch a limited-edition version of the Zenith Pilot Extra Special. Zenith’s relationship with aviation goes back more than a century and the pioneer flyer Louis Blériot was wearing a zenith on his watch when he became the first man to cross the English Channel in a heavier-than-air aircraft.
Indeed, Zenith is the only Swiss replica watch brand that is licensed to use the word “pilot” on a dial.
Today’s generation of Zenith pilot replica watches owes a lot to the original piece worn by Blériot himself, with the distinctive large onion-shaped crown and cathedral hands.
This special version in a limited edition of 35, however, has a unique dial in the Fake Watches Gallery’s signature blue, with matching blue stitching on the brown alligator strap.
The caseback is engraved with an image of the Blériot Type XI monoplane that flew that fist flight from Calais to Dover.
